<p>&nbsp;Therefore, KNUS has been operating awareness activities and motivating the rural people, nearer brothel/prostitution areas as well as the urban people about HIV/AIDS/STD infestations. Already the people of the working areas have become aware about the seriousness of the diseases, so they are trying to practice, overcome including protect them from the infestation of the HIV/AIDS/STD as per desire of the Donors. In this regard KNUS has taken an initiative to aware people through arranging meeting, groups discussion and broadcast posters, leaflets and wide circulation have been conducted in the working areas. The staff members are continuously sharing, discussing and motivating the people on HIV/AIDS/STD diseases as well as its protection measures.&nbsp; According to the goal &amp; commitments, KNUS has successfully accomplished several humanitarian programs/projects with the grant support of the development partners since its inception. The &ldquo;The Mercury Phoenix Trust&rdquo; is one of the most important humanitarian development partner of KNUS, who awarded grants support for implementing the HIV/AIDS education &amp; prevention Project in Bogura district. HIV/AIDS Education and Prevention Project is being implementing by KNUS in Bogura Sadar &amp; Gabtoli Upazila of Bogura District. This report is highlighted the progress of 12 months planned activities which is really encouraging us to devotedly work for the beneficiaries. The KNUS management has been strongly monitoring the activities at field level and strengthening the liaison, linkage, and collaboration with Govt. NGOs and all level of stakeholders that widely contributed to the successful achievement of the project activities. KNUS has well experienced potential dedicated qualified staff members who are quite enable to perform their own responsibilities for quality implementation of the projects interventions.&nbsp;</p> <p>The project has total planned budget for 12 months from January/22 to December/22 (MPT Grants + Cost sharing) was 10,483&pound; and expensed 10,512&pound;, the expenditure percentage is 100.28%. The KNUS has maintained very good financial reporting procedures and very much transparently expensed these grants money as per budget including plan following the financial policy as well reporting system.&nbsp;</p> <p>KNUS has successfully implemented the all planned activities in timely fashion as mentioned with the project proposal (PP). The project&rsquo;s staff were very much active &amp; committed to perform activities maintaining the quality as per desire of the MPT management as well as expectation of the KNUS and also developed their capacity to operate large scale Donor&rsquo;s funded program. We are able to learnt lot of areas related to the HIV/AIDS education, prevention methods, counselling, Donors communication and strengthened capacity as well as collaboration with the humanitarian development partners, HIV/AIDS prevention actors and stakeholders. Although KNUS has achieved a lot within the 12 months&rsquo; period having limited grants support. Around 150,000 people have been aware on HIV/AIDS prevention methods through arranging campaign, counselling, video documentary demonstration, seminar/meeting in the school/college/ mass red zone areas of Bogura district.&nbsp;</p>
