KNUS has very strong general council with 21 experienced, qualified & dedicated social activists. This general council governs the KNUS which is the highest policy maker/formulation body and they meet once in a year to review organizational approve plans, budgets, expenditures, progress including formulate policy decisions and election. The general council elects the Executive Committee (EC) consisting 7 members for the period of two years, for smooth operation of the organization, EC generally provides policy guidelines of the organization.  

The Executive Director as the Member Secretary of the EC, who mainly responsible for resource requisition through building liaison, collaboration with the development partners, stakeholders and others potential sources with a view to ensure the fund for smooth operation of the programs. She also guides as well as supervise the all sector’s team/staff members including Programs, Administrative, HR, Finance, Monitoring, Audit and all over the operational areas in order to accomplish the daily interventions/tasks of the organizational programmatic activities. As member secretary of the organization, Executive Director organize monthly meeting with all sectors/department heads and ensure the elaborate discussion on all pre-decided agenda including problems of the different sectors which are collected from the diversified level and makes them accountable. The executive committee take decision on behalf of the organization and share to the different sectors for proper execution. In this process two-way communication techniques (Bottom up and top down) are maintaining in decision making for program operation as well organization development.   

Beside these, KNUS organizes Annual General Meeting (AGM) in each financial year, where all members of the general body attend the meeting. As the executive committee is accountable to the general body, so in this meeting all agenda of the year are elaborately discussed. All sectoral head on behalf of the Executive Director present/manifest their yearly plan vs progress and answer to the queries/questions raised by the general body if required. Yearly budget also reviews and budget for next year is approved in the AGM. The Executive Director materializes the decision through her 153 staffs and volunteers of the organization.
