Monitoring, Evaluation and Supervision (M&E/MEAL)

KNUS facilitates monitoring, evaluation and supervision considering it as an essential tool for its program management to measure the progress of planned activities & effectiveness of existing programs both on qualitative and quantities aspects. The effective facilitation of regular monitoring and supervision enable the KNUS management to take necessary corrective measures on its program intervention at the timely fashion.   

Based on its programmatic approach KNUS follows participatory monitoring methods. These participatory monitoring methods conducted in three level as stated below:  

Conduct monitoring & evaluation by the personnel of KNUS, 

Conduct monitoring & evaluation by the representative of the community people,  

Monitoring & evaluation by the special joint team, i n collaboration of different stakeholders (KNUS, GO, LG and Projects Participants).   

KNUS followed the Monitoring, Evaluation, Actions and Learning (MEAL) system is used as a management tools to track KNUS inputs process, outputs and activities to monitor whether these are being in line within the operational guideline and expectation of the KNUS management. Moreover, KNUS has in-house MIS unit to track including measure the project progress effectively and efficiently.  

The organization has proper system for monitoring, supervision, evaluation, actions, learning and follow-up services, which would be required to provide technical assistance for the timely completion of the project interventions. This would be done to ensure successful implementation of the project over a time as per Donors expectations. Senior management is capable enough to provide constant follow-up services, supportive supervision to assist the field level program staff for smooth operation of the program. The staff members are well oriented/trained to develop the monitoring tools for the track and keep the progress of program with quality implementation as per the desire of the Donors. Regular basis the organization has prepared monthly, quarterly, biannual, annual and program completion report as per the requirement of the Donors following the template/formats supplied by the concerned personnel. The monthly and quarterly physical and financial statements are prepared for the internal monitoring purpose also. In the progress report indicator wise progress highlights elaborately, usually considers four characteristics: quantity, quality, time and location where all the characteristics are not necessarily mention at activity level but mention at outcomes/output level and its respective higher hierarchies.
