Group Formation

The groups of poor women as well as adolescents are considered as the main platform to reach target beneficiaries. It gives emphasis on the women for selecting and enrolment in the group through social mapping, wealth ranking including participatory way. Each group has 4 to 5 small groups and each small groups consisting 4/5 members. Small group has one leader who maintains the coordination among the members. This small group leader always motivates the members to attend in the weekly meeting regularly. Small group leaders represent the general body of the large group selected for every two years comprising chairman, secretary, cashier and 2/3 members. Weekly meeting in the group held regularly to discuss the different developmental issues. The weekly meeting has two components. One is to deliver the session on different development related issues. Another component is to discuss the other emerging agenda of the group. Weekly group meeting held for about one and half-hours. Members are enrolled after socioeconomic survey. Regular weekly meetings are held at the group level.
